Venezuela Earthquake 2026

AMURT and AMURTEL volunteers work with partners to provide food, temporary shelter, essentials, and psychological support.

Editorial note: a malformed casualty figure in the original report has been omitted.

The earthquakes in South America left tens of thousands displaced, facing homelessness and a lack of basic necessities. Falling debris injured many people, and access to health care was limited.

AMURT & AMURTEL volunteers have been partnering with other organizations to bring food and temporary shelter to those without shelter.  We are also working in shelters to provide psychological support for families dealing with the effects of the trauma.

Your assistance at this time will help our team to provide care and essentials to those facing difficult days ahead.

This man lost his house in La Guaira and pieces of cement fell on his foot. He came with nothing. Our team gave him a tent, blankets and a towel.
